14TH ANNUAL HERBIE’S HOME “TOWN LOOP” (HHL)
Due to the current COVID-19 health crisis facing our society, Herbie’s Hometown Loop 2021 is virtual!
Herbie’s Home “Town Loop” is a 4-mile run/walk and 10-mile run held in honor of Jeremy Herbstritt, a Bellefonte local and Penn State alum killed in the Virginia Tech school shootings in 2007. Any funds raised from this year’s race will benefit our local community.
WHEN: Saturday, August 14, 2021 through Saturday, August 21, 2021. Interested runners may run anywhere during this week.
COURSE: Wherever you are! Anywhere you can get in a 4 or 10 mile run/walk. You can even run/walk the course we have done every year.
DISTANCE: 4 or 10 mile walk/run.
RESULTS: Submit your name and time for the 4 mile or 10 mile run/walk to kgasper@basd.net by Monday, August 23rd. Results will be posted on our webpage.
ENTRY FEES: 2020 and 2021 have been tough years for our community so we are not collecting registration fee this year. If you are able to give, consider donating to Centre Volunteers in Medicine at this link: Herbie’s Hometown Loop or contributing to the local food bank.
Bellefonte food bank: https://www.faithcentre.info/foodbanks.html
State College food bank: https://scfoodbank.org/
REGISTRATION: No registration is required this year! No race awards or t-shirts this year.
Please submit your name, if you completed the 4 or 10 mile run/walk, and your time to: Race Director Kim Gasper at kgasper@basd.net so your time can be posted on our website.
We look forward to seeing you all in person for the August 2022 Herbie’s Home Town Loop! Stay well and we hope to see you on the trails!
